Otsu Live is for real people doing real things, live: working a trade, fixing and building, cooking, the outdoors, travel, hobbies and everyday life. "Otsu" means "good job, thanks for your hard work". That's the spirit here: we cheer each other on. These guidelines explain what's welcome, what isn't, and what happens when someone breaks the rules. They apply to live streams, chat, messages, photos, comments, profiles and gifts, everywhere in the app.

The short version

1. What Otsu Live is for

Show people what you do and how you do it: your job site, your workshop, your kitchen, the trail, the lake, your garage project, your city. Viewers come to watch, learn, chat and say "otsu!" (good job).

Be kind, be real and be yourself. Friendly banter is great. Tearing people down is not.

2. Who can use Otsu Live

• You must be 18 or older. Accounts of anyone under 18 are removed.
• One person per account, and you may only have one account. Don't share or sell accounts.
• Don't pretend to be another person, brand or organization, and don't pretend to be Otsu Live staff.
• Otsu Live is available in selected countries. Don't use tricks to get around where it's offered.
• If your account is banned, don't make a new one.

3. Keep it real

• Live means live. Don't stream pre-recorded or looped video as if it were happening now, and don't sit on a black, frozen or empty screen to stay live.
• No AI-made content of any kind: no AI-generated or AI-edited photos, videos, voices, faces, avatars or deepfakes, in live streams, posts or your profile. Otsu Live is for real people doing real things.
• Simple beauty filters and lighting touch-ups are fine. Filters that change who you are (face swaps, AI faces, fake age or gender) are not.
• Only post photos and videos you made yourself or have the right to share. Stolen content is removed under our Copyright (DMCA) process, and repeat copyright offenders lose the ability to post and go live.

4. Nudity, sexual content and "body for gifts"

Otsu Live is not a place to show off your body for gifts. These rules apply to everyone, whatever your gender.

Not allowed:
• Nudity or sexual content of any kind, including sexual acts, sexual talk aimed at viewers, and sexually suggestive posing or dancing.
• Undressing, posing or showing body parts for gifts, and gift requests tied to your body ("10 roses and I'll…").
• Chat or messages asking someone to show their body ("show me", "take it off" and similar).
• Sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent, sextortion or threats to share images.

Dress code: wear normal clothes for what you're doing. Gym clothes for a workout, swimwear at a real beach, pool or on the water, and working shirtless in hot weather are fine. No lingerie, and no swimwear or near-nudity outside a real activity.

Photos are checked automatically for nudity, and staff review reports. A live stream ended for sexual content can lose that stream's gift earnings.

5. Protecting minors (zero tolerance)

Anything that sexualizes, exploits, grooms or endangers a child is never allowed, including images, messages, comments, jokes and links. We remove it, ban the account, keep evidence and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the authorities.

If you see it, report it right away with ⚑ Report → 🚨 Child safety. Don't share or save it. If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number. More in our Child Safety Standards.

6. Respect people

Not allowed:
• Hate: attacking people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious illness or age, including slurs, symbols and "jokes".
• Harassment and bullying: insults, repeated unwanted contact, piling on, mocking someone's looks, or encouraging others to do it.
• Threats and violent speech against anyone.
• Doxxing: sharing someone's private information (home address, phone number, private photos, ID or bank details) or encouraging others to find it.
• Supporting terrorist, violent extremist or criminal groups.
• Human trafficking, forced labor or recruiting, moving or selling people in any way.

The word filter hides swear words and blocks slurs automatically, but that doesn't make other abuse okay.

7. Violence, danger and self-harm

• No real violence or gore shown for shock, including filming crash or accident scenes for views.
• No cruelty to animals. Normal work with animals, hunting and fishing where legal, and cooking are fine when done responsibly.
• No dangerous stunts or challenges, and never do something risky because viewers or gifts asked for it.
• Don't promote, encourage or show self-harm, suicide or disordered eating. If you're struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a crisis line in your country. In the US you can call or text 988.
• Tools, trades and outdoor work are welcome. Use normal safety sense and gear.

8. Real-life safety

• Never stream while driving or operating heavy machinery on the road. Park first, or let a passenger hold the camera.
• No drunk, high or "challenge" streams that put you or others at risk.
• Adults may drink alcohol or smoke tobacco on stream in moderation where it's legal for them. Not allowed: being drunk or high, drinking or smoking for gifts or as a challenge, promoting or selling alcohol, tobacco, vapes or cannabis, or using cannabis or other drugs on stream.
• Respect people around you. Ask before focusing on someone, and don't film people in private places (restrooms, changing rooms, homes) without their consent.
• Follow your workplace's rules. Only stream at work if you're allowed to, and don't show private customer or company information.
• Don't show your exact home address or anything that could let strangers find you.

9. Honest activity

Not allowed:
• Scams, fraud or tricking people out of money, coins or accounts, including pyramid schemes, "investment" or crypto offers, fake job offers and money laundering.
• Sending people off the app: links to adult sites, money requests (Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, gift cards, crypto), phone numbers, or Telegram/WhatsApp/Kik. Our filter blocks these automatically. Links to your YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Twitch or Snapchat are fine.
• Spam, bots, fake followers, fake likes, gift-for-gift rings or using several accounts to boost yourself.
• Gambling or betting on stream, including "send gifts to enter" raffles.
• Selling or promoting regulated or illegal goods: weapons, drugs, vapes, alcohol, prescription medicine, counterfeits.
• Hacking, scraping, cheating the coin system or misusing bugs. Please tell us about bugs instead.
• Paid promotions must be clearly labelled (for example #ad).

10. Gifts, coins, events and battles

Gifts are a way to say thanks and "otsu!". They are always voluntary.

• Streamers may thank viewers and mention that gifts help, but no begging, guilt-tripping or pressuring anyone, and no singling out individual viewers.
• No trading gifts for acts: don't promise to do something (especially anything about your body) in return for gifts, and don't set gift "goals" tied to actions.
• Coins can only be bought in the app. Don't buy, sell or trade coins or accounts anywhere else, and don't help anyone cash out coins or earnings outside Otsu Live.
• If a purchase is refunded, the gifts it paid for are reversed.

Seasonal gift events (for example 🧟 Zombie Infection at Halloween):
• Viewers start an event by sending its event gift (🧟 Zombie Alpha). Every extra one sent during the event adds time, up to a limit.
• During an event, some cheaper event gifts (👻 Ghost, 🦇 Bat) count extra on the stream's points leaderboard. Points are only for ranking and never change coins or earnings.
• Streamers can't start events themselves (you can't gift your own stream) and earn event gifts like any other gift.
• Streamers may tell viewers an event is running ("Zombie season is here!"), but the no-pressure rules above still apply.
• Events only run on their scheduled dates.

⚔️ PK battles (streamer vs streamer):
• A live streamer can invite another live streamer to a 5-minute gift battle. Either of you can say no, and you can switch battle invites off.
• Gifts to each streamer count as battle points. Points are only a score: gifts are paid and earned exactly like always.
• The winner gets a celebration, nothing more. No "punishments" or dares for the losing side, and no promising to do something if you win or lose.
• The no-pressure rules above apply in battles too: no begging, no guilt-tripping, no singling out viewers.

11. Your safety tools

• ⚑ Report: report a stream, chat message, direct message, photo, comment or profile. Press and hold a message to report it. Choose 🚨 Child safety for anything involving a minor.
• Block: from someone's profile or the chat header. Blocked people can't message you or comment on your photos.
• Streamers can delete chat messages in their stream and block people from chatting there.
• A word filter automatically hides swear words and blocks slurs and serious abuse in chat, messages, comments and captions.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app or at /delete-account.

12. What happens when rules are broken

Our staff review reports and automatic checks. These guidelines can't list everything: staff may also remove content or limit an account that harms people or Otsu Live even if it isn't named here. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
• Remove it: take down a message, photo, comment or profile item, or end a live stream.
• Not recommend it: allow it but not promote it (for example streams that are off-topic or very low effort).
• Act on the account: a warning, a 24-hour freeze (no going live), or a permanent ban. Repeated breaking of the rules usually goes warning → freeze → ban. Serious cases (for example anything involving minors, threats or sexual content for gifts) can lead straight to a ban.

A ban for nudity, sexual content or illegal activity can mean losing your coins and pending earnings (see the Terms of Service). We may also report illegal activity to the authorities.

Think we got it wrong? Email support@otsulive.com with your username and what happened, and a staff member will take another look.

13. How to report and get help

• In the app: tap ⚑ Report on a stream or profile, or press and hold a message, photo or comment.

• Anything else: email support@otsulive.com.

We update these guidelines from time to time. When we do, we change the date at the top.
